Ruawai stop bank trail.
Enjoy some quiet country roads, a mix of flat and hill, and four km of waterfront riding along the Ruawau Stopbank Trail.
Start at either end - there are Cafe's and public toilets at Matakohe and at Ruawai.
Directions from Matakohe:
From the Museum turn left onto Matakohe East Road, then left again onto Tinopai Road. Turn right onto Speechly Road, then right again onto Te Kowhai Road.
After about 8 km turn left onto Domain Road, and left onto Simpson Road. Follow to the end and continnue along the Ruawai Stopbank Trail to Ruawai Wharf.
